New Partnership Announcement: Vid Monster + Forever Communications Team up to offer more media options
Great Media should be heard AND seen!
The earliest films were released without sound in the 1880's.
Roughly a decade later, the radio was invented.
Since then, through various developments in media transformation, they have found a marriage that we struggle to manage without them together: sight and sound are just natural partners.
On April 4th 2019, two more natural media partners decided to officially team up to offer their community and clients great new options to enjoy their media. Vid Monster Productions and Forever Communications have completed a partnership agreement that allows Forever Communications' clients to have video included in their media package options.
Forever Communications is local broadcast radio. They provide the highest quality product for their listeners and deliver effective results for their advertising partners by creating dynamic marketing solutions. Forever Communications operates media outlets in Kentucky and Tennessee. They are headquartered in Bowling Green, KY and have 13 radio stations in Jackson TN, Murray KY, Union City TN, and Paris TN.
Vid Monster Productions is a professional video production company formally established in 2016 and headquartered in Bowling Green, KY. They offer a full time staff and a team of contractors for TV commercials, website or social media video use, are contracted routinely as an outsourced video department for companies, and work on national and local video productions of all sizes.
When asked about the partnership, CEO and Creative Director Sam Kirby responded, "We are very excited to partner with such an established and well-respected business in Forever Communications. Media can't continue to thrive for the community in only one direction, this partnership helps expand the next generation of news, entertainment, music, and advertising options for the local markets and we are proud to be doing that hand-in-hand with Forever Communications."
Through the visual media of video, Vid Monster is able to offer web, social, and TV production that spans from simple animated and graphical videos all the way up to long-format video content.
Forever Communications is offering specialized media packages to bring together your radio, TV, and video needs that are only available if you contact them directly.

I said No.
When it came to having a video made of my wedding day, I said no to hiring a videographer.
But if you asked me what I would have done differently about my wedding, what would I say?
I would say making a budget can be overwhelming, especially when it’s for something so important.
And hiring a videographer may seem like it’s unnecessary, but if you were to ask me what I regret cutting from my wedding budget, I would say the wedding video.
So before you make any hasty decisions, consider the following things from someone who wishes that they had hired a wedding videographer.
Movement and Sound Make Things Better
The best days of our lives always fly by too quickly, but that doesn’t mean you can’t relive them.
A video would have captured the moment we said our vows, the toasts at our reception, the music we danced to, and the laughter of our friends and family when someone told a joke.
It’s moments like these that are hard to remember exactly how they happened. I can’t remember every detail, but a video could have remembered them for me.
If You Missed It
Weddings are busy. There are people everywhere and a lot of things happening. And I didn’t want to miss a second of it. But I couldn’t be everywhere at once.
A video would have captured the reaction of our family and friends the moment we said our vows and the anticipation as I walked down the aisle. A video could have allowed me to see my wedding from another perspective: as if I was one of our guests.
Something Easy to Share
You know all of those beautiful wedding videos you’ve had the privilege to watch? They are so easy to share, especially with those who may have missed the wedding. A video could have been easily shared, and no one would have had to wonder what our wedding might have been like. They would have experienced every moment of it. One of the best things about our wedding was sharing it with all of the people we care about, but a video would have lasted for all the years to come.
You won’t ever regret having too many memories, but you will regret not capturing them. Hiring a videographer may be hard to fit in the budget, but it will be worth it. It’s just something you can’t miss out on.

Vid Monster was excited to unveil the March installation of the Limited Edition vintage-style posters at the Historic Railpark and Train Museum in Bowling Green, KY. And of course, we wouldn't be a great video company without including in this blog post a video of the unveiling...
Watch the 1 minute Reveal video here:
While we may dabble in the current and future technology space of video, we have a soft spot for the past and the vintage. We know that in order to get where we're going tomorrow, we need to learn about and appreciate the things from yesterday.
Sam Kirby, CEO & Creative Director, and Jennifer Martin, Marketing Director, were present to perform the unveiling of this month's featured poster. The poster, which was a nod to Women for National Women's History Month, can be purchased on site or online at The Historic Railpark and Train Depot.
All proceeds for the poster purchase go toward the depot’s “Save the Depot” campaign and are 11 in X 17 in.
Our media friends at The Bowling Green Daily News were also there to celebrate the unveiling today too!
Here's a photo of Sam posing next to the poster before the "big reveal":
Order your poster, it's tax-deductible donation. :)
The poster in all of it's glory:
When you have a large number of client videos to send out for approval each month, it takes a streamlined editing process, smart documentation, time efficiency, and a medium to communicate all of those things.
At Vid Monster, we're a fan of Vimeo Review.
Some of our clients have never heard of Vimeo, so sometimes it can be confusing initially to help encourage them to use the platform during the review/editing/approval process for finalizing video projects.
We like it because it's super easy for everyone and it has a very efficient and thorough documentation process that makes it easy to know the who/what/where/when a client means when they say they need an edit on a video.
Our CEO & Creative Director Sam Kirby even made this handy-dandy video to teach you about it...
Can you see how easy that process could be to review your video and notate any changes you wanted?
From selecting the general area to the very specific pixel on the screen, you can communicate your ideas quickly and efficiently - all while still being remote and not having to come to our office, saving time overall.
It's also how we can help deliver most final videos to clients in 14 days or less on average.
As always at Vid Monster, each client gets 3 rounds of edits, ensuring that the end product is exactly what you want and how you want it edited. This is just one way we make video easy and amazing for you!
Comment your feedback on this editing/review process with Vimeo Review and Vid Monster!
Every Tuesday at 2pm CST, our CEO & Creative Director Sam Kirby goes on a live stream to talk about a topic in video that you might find helpful or educational.
This week, he shared about 4K videos and why we shoot in that format, as opposed to other formats of lower quality, like 1080p.
You can always go back and watch the video here.
Meanwhile, we have some handy-dandy visual aids to show you.
This simple chart shows the relation of the various image sizes that are traditionally found in video.
Once upon a time, each size what the latest and greatest, so you can see how far we've come with technology in video over the past 18-19 years since the DVD player came out around 1999.
And why are there the numbers and the letter p included in the size names?? Where does that come from?
The "p" stands for progressive scan and are basically lines that move in video.
Can you see the lines here in an old video of a man riding a horse?
The numbers in the size types are basically shorthand for the total number of pixels per horizontal and vertical frame.
Over time, the primary focus is on the horizontal frame, which is why we ended up with simplified terms like, "1080p" and "4k". You may also notice that the resolution for "4k" is actually 3840x2160, so this number is rounded up obviously.
Let's see a side by side comparison.
It's almost as if you were looking at an image during various stages of removing your glasses, or taking an eye exam at the optometrist. Think about how a higher resolution has become better for our eyes over time, too!
At Vid Monster, we always shoot in 4k. Every project we complete, unless instructed otherwise but that isn't really a request we have, we make sure that all of our final deliveries are high quality. And that high quality just isn't in resolution, it's in each area of the shooting and editing process we take care of for our clients.
If you have any questions about 4k or want to discuss getting your video project shot in 4k, reach out to us by emailing us at email@example.com or call 270-681-7810. We'd love to talk with you.
And make sure that you subscribe to our Facebook page to see what Sam will talk about next Tuesday @ 2!
Sometimes you make things happen, and sometimes things happen to you.
This was certainly the case with our company rebrand.
We forgot to do a big splashy announcement.
But we were able to make this fancy video because that's what we're pros at, so there's a win there, I guess!
I guess we just got bogged down with new client work, restructuring our team, adding new crew contractors, and all that good business-y stuff... we just forgot to make a big deal out of our rebranding.
But we're still excited about it! And we hope you are too!
We still serve businesses, brides, and the best community members with customized and affordable, quality video production services. Between all that we do for producing music videos, tv commercials, weddings, web content marketing videos, and documentary films... we didn't have time to do anything crazy for an announcement.
And we like it that way.
Take a peek and give us your feedback.
Oh and then there's these beautiful rack cards for our Wedding division that Liberty Printing took care of for us!
(and if you have any questions about our wedding services, feel free to peek at our wedding page for more information)
So. That was an easy announcement. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
